Former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, has pulled out of the 2020 presidential polls.
According to Starr News, Mrs Rawlings who is the flagbearer of the National democratic party(NDP), has informed the electoral commission of her decision.
This development comes after the passing of his husband,Jerry John Rawlings, Ghana’s longest serving president who died on the 12th of November, 2020.
It is believed that Nana Agyeman Konadu’s withdrawal from the Presidency race will make her concentrate on her widowhood to ensure the former President is given the dignity and befitting burial.
Her party is set to address the media today, 23rd November, 2020.
