The English championship transfer window has been closed and Ghanaian defender Baba Rahman will continue to stay at Chelsea till the season ends.
Baba joined the blues from German side FC Augsburg in 2015 and has made a total of 15 premier league appearances for the club.
After signing for Chelsea, he was loaned to clubs such as Reims, Schalka 04 and Real Mallorca.
Durning the summer transfer window, both Middlesbrough and Watford showed interest in signing the defender but the deal couldn’t go through as he failed to meet the deadline on Friday.
As discussions were on going, Boro was seen to be more eager in signing the defender. However, the deal couldn’t be sealed as a result of a last minute setbacks.
Baba will join Chelsea’s development squad in order to work more on himself and set another target when the transfer window reopens in Winter.
Cruciate ligament rupture and Knee injury has slowed down his career but he looks forward to bounce back strongly.
